1. Parties

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between the applicant ("You") and Comfort Insurance, a licensed funeral cover broker operating in the Republic of South Africa ("We", "Us", "Our").

2. Nature of Cover

Comfort Insurance acts as an intermediary and facilitates funeral cover products underwritten by registered South African insurers. Cover is subject to the terms of the applicable policy wording issued by the underwriter.

3. Personal Information & POPIA

We collect, process, and store your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Your information will only be used to assess your application, administer your policy, and communicate with you regarding your cover. We will not sell or share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law or for the fulfilment of your policy.

4. Consent to Contact

By submitting this application, you consent to Comfort Insurance and its representatives contacting you via phone, email, or SMS regarding your application, policy updates, and related insurance products.

5. Accuracy of Information

You confirm that all information provided in this application is true, complete, and accurate. Any misrepresentation or omission of material facts may result in your policy being void or a claim being rejected.

6. Waiting Periods

Standard waiting periods apply as per the policy terms. Natural death cover is typically subject to a waiting period. No waiting period applies in the event of accidental death, unless otherwise specified.

7. Cooling-Off Period

You have the right to cancel this policy within 31 days of inception without penalty, provided no claim has been submitted during this period.

8. Complaints & Disputes

Should you have a complaint, please contact us directly. If unresolved, you may refer your complaint to the FAIS Ombud or the Ombudsman for Long-term Insurance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
